Information about The Plough and Fen Ditton
The Plough is a traditional village pub offering great food, friendly service, real ale and a great outside eating area for warm days and evenings. In a census of 1669 we were recorded as being a paper mill before being used as an Inn. As the Village Inn The Plough was used extensively for village meetings and court sessions throughout the 18th century. We were also a popular coaching Inn for people on their way to and from Cambridge providing accommodation and stabling.

Being on the edge of one of the UK's most famous University cities makes us a popular choice for tourists and academics alike. Cambridge centre, the colleges, the shopping and the sights are only a few minutes drive away. The horse racing town of Newmarket is only 15 minutes to our east making us a popular venue for race-goers. Finally the beautiful cathedral city of Ely with its amazing shops and interesting museums is half an hour away.
